Hospice of the Valley Grief Support

Hospice of the Valley offers grief support groups in the Central Arizona area, both in-person and virtually. There are groups available for adults and children, including younger kids, teenagers and young adults, and families. More information about available groups and how to enroll is available on the HOV website.

Grief, Loss and End of Life

The American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) offers a wide variety of helpful information about grief, loss and end of life on their website. Topics range from preparing for end of life, funeral planning, grief and loss resources to settling an estate. There are extensive articles with helpful advice, as well as details about local resources offering bereavement support.

Coping with Grief and Loss

Caringinfo.org has a wonderful website focused on helping people cope with grief after a loss. Guidance on the different types of grief and loss, how to understand grief, and methods of providing or finding support are offered. Their website also has information on preparing and planning for a life-limiting illness for those who may be handling those challenges.

Loss of a Child

The loss of a child at any age can be especially difficult, and The Compassionate Friends (TCF) network offers assistance to families experiencing this hardship. There are over 600 chapters of TCF offering support and guidance to families all over the United States. Their website also provides online communities where you can connect with virtual chapters and private support groups to help with your grieving process.
